Do you remember the first day of Daniel? How can I forget that first fast of Daniel!
I remember that the first day I heard about the fast of Daniel I was curious about it. I wanted to know more about, I wanted to start doing the fast of Daniel right away.
The first fast of Daniel was the hardest one for me because I used to watch TV 24/7. I will watch TV right away when I had arrived from school, I wouldn't even eat any food. I used to be addicted to Facebook ( I will write an article later about it) . Internet and TV were everything for me. I used to love watching the TV NOVELAS that my mom or ant will watch. I love discussion about all of them. Since I was little I used to watch a lot of TV NOVELAS. When the fast of Daniel started I knew it was going to be hard for me to do it, but even thought I didn't care about it. Because God was more important than everything in my life, and having the Holy Spirit inside of me was also important. The first week of the fast I wanted to turn on the computer or the TV to be entertain because I was bored. I don't like not having anything to do. I prayed everyday to God to help me because I didn't know how I was going to make it until the end of the fast. I told him to forgive me for many times that I preferred to watch TV or go in the internet instead of reading the bible or seeking for his Holy Spirit.
When there were only 3 days left, I was so happy that I had made it so far and that I had grew spiritually. Then when the last day of the fast arrived, I was complete another person. God gave me a stronger Spirit and change my whole life. I wasn't any more the same Treicy I used to be. I still remember that song that Mrs. Cristiane Cardoso wrote, it's in my mind all the time. What a day! I will never will forget that day.
Now after 2 years , I had done each one of the fast of Daniel not because other people are doing them or because the pastors said to do it. No! I do the fast of Daniel because I want my relationship with God to grow more and more. I want to be stronger spiritually, I wanted to be able to help those that are in the darkness.

ReplyDeleteThe devil works to make everything a routine, it was very tough to get through the first fast because I was always always checking facebook, the news and blogs but then now I dont have a problem with that but sometimes I am so busy with work and school that media does not make a different but I end up not having time for God either. SO this has been my battle, to make sure that i can do everything but always maintaining that special time for God in my life.
